I actually remembered to post! Ha. Had a great vday.
Well we had a wonderful valentines day. I would have to say one of the best so far! Last night I got to use my cookie press for the first time ever, as well as my easy accent decorator. They are both from pampered chef that I recently bought. (By the way, I’m having a pampered chef party in late March. Message me if you are interested in coming) I made valentines cookies last night.
So John took Valentines Day off this year, which was great. He also went wayyy out of his way to make it extra special. (I think he is trying to overcompensate for Christmas. He got me pans for Christmas and I think he realized it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. Especially since he got everything he wanted. I think he felt a little guilty.)
Anyways, so we wake up this morning and bring pumpkin into our room. We give her gifts. We got her a card and a teddy bear, since she can’t use much else. My mother got her a teddy bear, her great grandmother got her a bib and a pez candy dispenser (which she can’t use, but hey, it’s the thought that counts), and her grandpa got her a card and a onsie and bib.
Then John and I exchanged gifts. I got him a bunch of little goodies from a local “romance” shop, if ya get my drift… And an I owe you for a game that he wants, because it doesn’t come out till next month. I also gave him two cards, one serious and one funny.
He then gave me my gift(s). He gave me two very romantic cards and a card from pumpkin. He gave me a sapphire and diamond necklace. It was extra special because sapphire is pumpkins birth stone. Then he told me that he was going to take me to the mall and let me pick out a hair straightener because he didn’t know the first thing about which one to get. He also said that he intended on getting me the matching sapphire and diamond earrings but couldn’t remember if my ears were still pierced (haven’t worn earrings since having pumpkin). So then I told him that they are still pierced, that they actually never close up no matter how long I go without wearing earrings (My ears are just weird like that). So he said if I liked the matching earrings that he would buy me those as well.
So we got ready and headed out for breakfast. We went and had breakfast as a family at Denny’s. Then headed over to Sams club to get some diaper wipes and formula. Then off to the mall. While at the mall we bought the matching earrings, the straightening iron and he bought me some new MAC make-up. Then we shopped around a bit and left the mall. I had borrowed Nikki’s straightener and she needs it tomorrow for a wedding we are all attending. So we went home and picked it up and dropped if off at her house.
After that we headed to a drive through car wash. One of my favorite things in the world to do. I turn into a little kid in those things, I just love them! There was actually quite a few people there and so we ended up waiting quite a bit. So we killed time by taking pictures, pumpkin was fast asleep at that point. It was her normal nap time, so she just went to sleep. Then we went over to Chili’s for lunch. Had a great lunch with an AWESOME dessert, it was great! After that we went to best buy and shopped around.
John wants a PS3, because its got a blu-ray DVD player (since the HD drive we bought seems to be heading the way of the Beta tapes, in that they aren’t releasing hardly any more movies on HD DVD format.) I also think that there are a few games that are coming out soon that he is interested in. Soo we will most likely be buying that in a few months. I told him I wanted to hold off, we don’t need it RIGHT now.
Then we headed home because all of us are sick. Not horribly so, but its no fun. Plus pumpkin had a really nasty poopie while we were out. It was out of the norm for her, so I assumed maybe it was an allergic reaction to the squash she just started. Then when we got home she had another one, within like two hours of the other. And it turns out that the rest of the family is sick with the same issue as well. So my poor baby has been struck with a small bought of the runs. Poor thing. It doesn’t seem to be phasing her much. She also still has the cold, but luckily it’s just a cough now. No more congestion in her nose or fever.
We had intended on going to see Definitely, Maybe in the theatres tonight, but my father didn’t get home in time to go to the showing we had intended on. The next one was pretty late, so we decided just to rent some movies and go out to dinner. So dad watched aurora while we went to put some bills in the mail, then go to rent some videos, and then to dinner. Now we are home. It was a really great day.
